The MWS Toronto English Camps are vibrant and exciting! They are designed for young people who are interested in learning English by being immersed in and English-speaking environment. A variety of excursions, daily classes, sporting activities and a fully organized on-camp programme keep the students occupied and learning at all times.

MWS Toronto English Camps

Each of the above three camps are specifically designed to meet the needs of that particular age group. Thus, there are some activities and excursion that are unique to each camp.

Once per week, the camps have “integration periods” where all three groups come together for special excursions and/or leadership building activities.

All 3 camps offer the following:

The MWS Toronto English Camps are located in the centre of the city, on the historic Victoria University Campus at the University of Toronto.

Toronto is Canada’s largest city and a major centre of business, commerce, culture and tourism. It is a highly diverse, multi-cultural city with ethnic neighborhoods reflecting communities from all over the world. Fantastic restaurants, live theatres and a full range of sports activities for every season make Toronto a great place to visit!

Toronto is home to the CN Tower, the Ontario Science Centre, Canada’s Wonderland, the Hockey Hall of Fame and many other places of interest.

Victoria University was founded in 1829 as an independent University. Today, it is part of the University of Toronto. The area is surrounded by parks and is very clean, safe and quiet. Victoria University is steps away from Queen’s Park, the Parliament, the Royal Ontario Museum and the popular Yorkville area.

Meals

Victoria University provides an in-house meal service for the camps. All the meals are prepared on site by the Victoria Food Services chefs.

  • 3 meals per day in the University dining hall or in restaurants while on tour
  • Hot and cold choices for all meals (vegetarian entrées always provided)
  • Unrestricted portion control
  • Wide assortment of drinks
  • Salad bar, fruits and desserts at all dining hall meals

AccommodationAccommodation

Residential students and staff at MWS Toronto English Camps live in the dormitories of Victoria University. The rooms are clean, comfortable and simple.

  • Residence building with 4 to 8 rooms to a section/floor
  • Residences divided according to sex and age of the students
  • Rooms have single beds (double and single room accommodation)
  • Bedding is supplied but not towels (bed linen changed weekly)
  • Semi-private and shared washrooms
  • Spacious common/activity rooms
  • 24-hour security

Transportation

Residential students are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to Toronto. Upon arrival at the airport, bus or train station, the MWS Toronto English Camps staff is there to meet and welcome the students.

Transfers to the camps are by private bus service (if arriving as part of a group), by UP Express train link and taxi or by limousine cars if arriving as individuals or in small groups. Pearson International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away from the city centre and the MWS Toronto English Camps.

Day Programme students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the camps daily.

Transportation to excursions during the camp programmes is by local public transit, which includes subways, streetcars and buses. The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) is the safest, cleanest, easiest and fastest way to travel in Toronto.

Comfortable coach buses transport the students on full day excursions to places like Niagara Falls.
